The Observatory of Economic Complexity takes its name from a data visualisation website which documents global trade through ports.

The video piece (6:22) brings together footage from inside a 'fulfilment' warehouse with observational shots of ancient drainage ditches sited alongside.  The accompanying text piece brings together text derived from the website detailing trade through Avonmouth Port, aligned left, and text from an archeological report of a nearby site, also in Avonmouth , aligned right.
